about

Jo Jo Gunne is a certainly a quartet of amazing musicians with Jay Ferguson, Mark Andes (later replaced by Jimmie Randal), Matt Andes and Curley Smith. The band got their name while opening a history of rock & roll source book and opened it to a Chuck Berry page and there they found the band's catchy unique name taken from the classic Chuck Berry track. The band formed in 1971 after the break up of the classic rock California based band Spirit that featured Jay Ferguson and Mark Andes.

This 20 track set features Jo Jo Gunne's first ever 10-song set performance at the Hollywood Palladium from 1971 and a second 10-song set that features the band recorded at Long Island's Ultrasonic Studios that aired live on WLIR-FM in 1973. The double disc set features an 8 page color booklet featuring over twenty previously unseen photographs from the band's career.
